New students who need a ‘visa for entry and stay for study purposes’ in Italy can obtain a <\/span>pre-enrolment certificate <\/b>from the General Secretariat, which is necessary to apply for this visa.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are <\/span>two<\/b> different <\/span>procedures<\/b> for religious and secular students.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n \n\n<\/div>\n \n \n \n \n <\/div>\n\n <\/section>\n\n\n

Pre-registration certificate<\/h2>\n

The pre-enrolment certificate is a document required by Italian consulates in order to apply for a visa. It must be authenticated by the Dicastery for Culture and Education and the Vatican Secretariat of State.<\/span><\/p>\n

To obtain this certificate, the candidate will have to <\/span>start the admission procedure<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/section>\n\n\n

How can I apply for the certificate?<\/h2>\n \n \n \n

The pre-enrolment procedure involves the following steps:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Admission Request<\/strong><\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Filling in the <\/b>contact form<\/strong><\/span><\/a>: the applicant will receive the link to the admission form by e-mail. It will be necessary to prepare the necessary documentation for admission.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Sending the<\/b> admission <\/span>form<\/b> after uploading the required documents in digital format.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. If the Faculty Dean or Institute Director approves the documents received, they will ask the General Secretariat to <\/span>draw up the\u00a0<\/b>pre-enrolment certificate<\/b>, which must be authenticated as already indicated by the Dicastery for Culture and Education and the Vatican Secretariat of State.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Authentication of the certificate at the Holy See<\/strong><\/h4>\n
      \n
    1. The authentication<\/strong> (endorsement) of the certificate<\/strong> at the Holy See and its subsequent dispatch are the responsibility of the interested party<\/strong> or delegate present in Italy, or the procedure may also be arranged to be carried out by the University.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Charges borne by the Ateneo:<\/strong> the candidate must provide the exact shipping address and pay the stipulated fees for these services (20 euros for authentication | 40 euros for insured courier shipment)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Payments can be made from abroad by bank transfer to the\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/i>following bank account<\/span><\/i><\/a>. The reason for payment must specify: “Authentication and\/or international dispatch of pre-enrolment cert. (insert candidate’s first name and surname)”.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

      Once in Italy, the candidate will have to:<\/span><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Supplement the copy of the visa issued by the Italian Embassy.<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Wait for the official letter of admission to arrive by e-mail.<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. Make the enrolment payment (instructions can be found on the admission letter)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n \n\n<\/div>\n \n \n \n \n <\/div>\n\n <\/section>\n\n\n
