In continuity with that experience, the <strong data-start=\"3190\" data-end=\"3229\">Neurobioethics Research Group (GdN)<\/strong>, coordinated by <strong data-start=\"3246\" data-end=\"3273\">Fr. Alberto Carrara, LC<\/strong>, offers a training program that critically and interdisciplinarily addresses the emerging ethical and anthropological questions raised by neuroscience and the culture of longevity.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h3 data-start=\"95\" data-end=\"127\"><strong data-start=\"95\" data-end=\"125\">NEW 2025\u20132026: ECM Credits<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p data-start=\"129\" data-end=\"488\">The Course and the Inaugural Open Class on September 26 are ECM-accredited for physicians, nurses and psychologists, both in person and online (live streaming).<br data-start=\"281\" data-end=\"284\" \/>ECM credits will be issued through the official provider Matrix ECM.<br data-start=\"352\" data-end=\"355\" \/>This recognition further enhances the training experience, making it a concrete opportunity for qualified professional development.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"901\" data-end=\"987\"><\/p>\r\n\r\n<h3 data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:26\"><strong>Educational Objectives<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3493\" data-end=\"3728\"><strong data-start=\"3493\" data-end=\"3728\">The aim of the course is to provide tools to deeply understand the transformations affecting how we live \u2014and age\u2014 and to respond to a crucial question of our time: what is the meaning of living longer, if we are not living better?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3730\" data-end=\"3945\">With this in mind, the course explores the concept of <strong data-start=\"3784\" data-end=\"3800\">brain health<\/strong> in an integral way, linking the nervous system with all dimensions of human existence: <strong data-start=\"3888\" data-end=\"3944\">biological, psychological, relational, and spiritual<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3947\" data-end=\"4239\">Special attention will be given to <strong data-start=\"3982\" data-end=\"4009\">biological rejuvenation<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"4011\" data-end=\"4030\">neuroprotection<\/strong>, and the most recent advances in <strong data-start=\"4064\" data-end=\"4087\">epigenetic research<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"4092\" data-end=\"4118\">cellular reprogramming<\/strong>, with references to leading scientists such as Nobel Prize winners <strong data-start=\"4186\" data-end=\"4205\">Shinya Yamanaka<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"4210\" data-end=\"4238\">Venkatraman Ramakrishnan<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"4241\" data-end=\"4756\">The approach will be <strong data-start=\"4262\" data-end=\"4296\">critical and interdisciplinary<\/strong>, inspired by the <strong data-start=\"4314\" data-end=\"4364\">Aristotelian-Thomistic philosophical tradition<\/strong> and guided by the <strong data-start=\"4383\" data-end=\"4463\">principles of the UNESCO Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights<\/strong>. The course will examine the practical implications of neuroscience on human life, with a particular focus on <strong data-start=\"4574\" data-end=\"4622\">ethical, legal, social, and cultural aspects<\/strong>, in the belief that the future of humanity is measured not only in years lived, but in the quality and meaning of each stage of life.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h3 data-sourcepos=\"15:1-15:36\"><\/h3>\r\n<h3 data-sourcepos=\"15:1-15:36\"><strong>Structure and methods of participation<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"163\" data-end=\"375\">The course will be held <strong data-start=\"187\" data-end=\"244\">in English with simultaneous translation into Italian<\/strong>, and can be attended in one of three formats: <strong data-start=\"291\" data-end=\"304\">in person<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"306\" data-end=\"335\">live online (synchronous)<\/strong>, or <strong data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"374\">recorded online (asynchronous)<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"377\" data-end=\"660\">It will run over the course of one academic year and includes <strong data-start=\"439\" data-end=\"462\">10 monthly sessions<\/strong> of <strong data-start=\"466\" data-end=\"484\">two hours each<\/strong>, consisting of <strong data-start=\"500\" data-end=\"529\">seminars and round tables<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"377\" data-end=\"660\">Sessions will take place on <strong data-start=\"561\" data-end=\"596\">Fridays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM<\/strong>, from <strong data-start=\"603\" data-end=\"634\">September 2025 to June 2026<\/strong>, following this schedule:<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"662\" data-end=\"893\"><strong data-start=\"662\" data-end=\"679\">Course start:<\/strong> Friday, 26 September 2025<br data-start=\"705\" data-end=\"708\" \/><strong data-start=\"708\" data-end=\"723\">2025 dates:<\/strong> 26 September, 24 October, 21 November, 19 December<br data-start=\"774\" data-end=\"777\" \/><strong data-start=\"777\" data-end=\"792\">2026 dates:<\/strong> 23 January, 27 February, 13 March (<em data-start=\"828\" data-end=\"865\">special event: Brain Awareness Week<\/em>), 17 April, 22 May, 19 June<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"1094\">The course includes a total of <strong data-start=\"926\" data-end=\"950\">25 hours of training<\/strong> and grants <strong data-start=\"962\" data-end=\"980\">3 ECTS credits<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"981\" data-end=\"984\" \/>Final evaluation will be based on <strong data-start=\"1018\" data-end=\"1043\">regular participation<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"1052\" data-end=\"1093\">submission of a written summary paper<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h3 data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"1094\"><\/h3>\r\n<h3 data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"1094\"><strong>Admission Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p data-sourcepos=\"29:1-29:389\">The course is aimed at d<strong>octors, bioethicists, philosophers, theologians, jurists, economists, trainers, and cultural operators<\/strong> interested in exploring the new scenarios of neurobioethics and the frontiers of longevity. For enrollment in the course, at <strong>least a high school diploma is required<\/strong>.
