For this purpose, our reference points will be: biblical revelation from both the Old and New Testaments (biblical approach); theological reflection developed by the Church Fathers that influenced the definition of dogma by the early councils (patristic-dogmatic approach); as well as further theological thought in its most distinctive aspects.
